Pirjo Wallace is a London based photographer specialising in Interiors, Architecture, and Commercial Spaces.

 

A native of Finland, Pirjo came to London to do her Master's degree in Arts Management a little over ten years ago. Ever since she has found herself surrounded by photographs. Her first job in the UK was at the Photographers' Gallery in London. This experience took Pirjo from loving photography to passionately obtaining knowledge on every aspect of the photography process.

 

From there Pirjo moved onto working at an international stock image agency as a Senior Marketing Executive, a position in which she literally spent hours every day selecting and editing images - this time commercial as opposed to fine art. It took another five years and an estimate of 2,500,000 images before Pirjo ventured out into a whole new career. 

 

Pirjo uses both natural and artificial light where appropriate to artistically capture indoor and outdoor spaces. Every single image is meticulously crafted with expert attention to detail. Pirjo strives to create an emotional response to the spaces she photographs and has learned her techniques from some of the best people in the industry including Mike Kelley, Serge Ramelli, Scott Hargis and most recently Derry Moore. Pirjo loves to create a fun, laid-back environment when shooting - whether photographing a small home or a high-end hotel.
